My Home Office + A New Way To Moodboard WITH CORIAN DESIGN
*Welcome to my very first sponsored post! While this is a paid advertorial, I can assure you my opinions are honest and all my own.
I was honored when Corian® Design reached out and invited me to be a part of their campaign to raise awareness for their new Moodboard Maker. Have you heard of it yet?
It's funny though, because when I first read the word "Corian" in my inbox I immediately had a visceral flashback to my childhood neighbors' kitchen countertops from the early 90s and how excited they were to upgrade from formica! Today's Corian® Design is SO much more than my 10 year old self remembers, I can promise you that!
To date, the Corian® Design portfolio includes a plethora of Corian® Solid Surface and Corian® Quartz (yes there is a pure quartz material!) in over 100 different colors and patterns! I was equally excited to find out that Corian® Design and I both believe that designing a space is much more than making a room look pretty, but rather the telling of a story through the combination of materials, textures and furnishings.
With their new Moodboard Maker tool you can easily create a unique inspiration board like no other, combining a collection of favorite textures, colors, patterns and materials into a personalized piece of art to share, save or print and frame.
Take my new home office for example. A few weeks ago this room was bare (minus the faux fiddle leaf I clearly HAD to drop off the moment we closed)....
I had a vision for what I wanted this room to feel like but my thoughts of what should actually go in the room took me all over the map.
By using Corian® Design's Moodboard Maker I could clearly articulate a visual mosaic that exemplified what I wanted the room to FEEL like.
What's fun about this process is that there are a variety of styles to choose from. Each one is associated with a unique mosaic shape (for example: modern will have hard edges, while bohemian has more swirling lines) as well as unique textures to choose from (minimalist might be sleek metals and monochromatic patterns while organic features driftwood textures and floral patterns). I went with Bohemian, but could have easily gone with Relaxed or Organic as well.
After making my selection, I filled my mosaic with a Corian® swatch in "Arrowroot" and all the other images, patterns and textures I was vibing on....
In the end I created this beauty...
I was able to immediately save it to my computer and have been referencing it often during my design process.....sticking to whites, specks of metallic, natural jute and rattan, greenery, shades of blue, stripes, and accents of pink....
Check out the e-design plan I created shortly after the mosaic:
It has been so easy to stay on track with what I actually want in my new office thanks to the Corian Moodboard! I'm happy to report that the room is coming together nicely and I will be unveiling the finished space in the coming weeks...so stay tuned!

Oh, and I should mention that I loved using the Corian® Design Moodboard Maker so much that I'm printing it out and planning to frame it to go above our new console!
How awesome is this?! I'm certainly in love.
