BACK TO SCHOOL
With school officially beginning tomorrow for us, we said a bittersweet goodbye to summer today. Our oldest heads to kindergarten and our youngest to preschool (can you hear my anxious heart beating out of my chest?!) and I'm both excited for this new chapter and apprehensive thinking of our two babies heading out into the world without me by their side. I swear I was just pregnant and whispering into both of their newborn ears "mommy's never leaving your side." Creepy perhaps, but absolutely true!
On the flip side, I'm also SO excited for the amount of time I'll now have to grow my design business, create better content for this blog, meal-plan (or at least attempt to cook more), exercise more regularly, and just have those essential "me" moments during the light of day!
I just wrapped up a few e-design projects that I'm proud of and have a variety of new spaces lined up that I'm eager to get going on. Since I pride myself on personalized attention to each client, and unique design plans that are anything but cookie-cutter, I'm thrilled to have a string of uninterrupted daytime hours to work, work, work!
I'm also planning some fun updates in our own home, specifically in Milo's room to get him better acclimated to elementary school life. I've been searching high and low for the ideal desk/homework station that would look good in his current room, but could also work in our future house in some capacity (I always like to think ahead and never like to waste a piece of furniture!).
I recently came across a ton of good-looking, functional desk set-ups on Pinterest and my creative wheels are rolling!
I love the idea of a designated space for the kids to do their homework, work on arts & crafts, or just veg out with a book. I'm contemplating a few of these desks for Milo's room but I'm still on the fence....
Which do you like?
I'll keep you posted on the direction I decide to go!
