The Boys' Bathroom Makeover Reveal
I’ve been so excited to share our boys’ completed bathroom with you all that I nearly forgot to publish this blog post!
So as I sit here from my parents’ beautiful vacation home in Maine for our annual family get away, allow me to share the boys’ newly revamped bathroom!
This bold project completes the boys’ wing makeover — and by “wing” I mean their shared bathroom which is sandwiched between Leo’s room and Milo’s room at the end of a long hallway. I’m beyond happy with the results and continue to be amazed at how our new construction home is evolving.
THE BOYS’ WING
To give you context, here’s what the bathroom looked like shortly after we moved in last June...
“THE BEFORE”
New, clean, and builder grade basic. (Please don’t be fooled by those cute sconces in the above picture — I swapped out the ugly ones the house came with almost immediately after we moved in. At the time, I knew I’d have to wait to do any other major changes to the space and this seemed like a very easy, quick, and affordable fix.)
As luck would have it, while I was sourcing wallpaper for the boys’ bedrooms, I fell in love with Wallshoppe’s Pacifico Palm Wallpaper in Ivory. Not for the boys’ bedrooms, but rather their bathroom. The dynamic, retro yet classic pattern felt like the perfect nod to my Florida upbringing. Raise your hand if you grew up in Florida or your grandparents retired to the sunshine state and you remember a similar nostalgic print from the 70s/80s?
“THE PROCESS”
After enlisting my right hand man, good ‘ole Craig The Handyman, to remove the existing mirror, lighting, faucets, and cabinet hardware, the room was ready for professional installation of these pretty palms!
