Guest-Ready: Bedding & Bathroom Refresh
It’s no easy task getting the house ready for this time of year, where holidays are plentiful, calendars book up quickly with celebrations, and spare bedrooms become a revolving hotel retreat for family and friends.
When Serena & Lily reached out about participating in their current Sleep Well Event, I was overly eager to update our bedrooms and bathrooms in preparation for this busy season! After all, who doesn’t love fresh new towels and linens, on sale no less, at up to 30% off?!
After refreshing our bedroom suit with a new headboard, new sheets, a new coverlet, new shams, a new hamper and new bath towels, I thought I’d share my quick and easy fall checklist so you, too, can elevate your home, making it your own personal retreat!
clean out closets and drawers. I love corralling our gently used kids clothes and shoes into shopping bags and offering them up to friends and family. Anything they don’t want, I donate. I also keep these baskets on the top shelf of our closets, and toss articles of clothing that the boys outgrow or I’m over to sort through, fold, and donate seasonally.
swap out existing sheets for new, crisp, white linens. The old sheets become our painting, beach, or picnic blanket. We love these white linen sheets and have them on every bed in our home. They are worth every single penny!
retire old bath towels to the garage for weekend car washes. Whether you know it or not, towels do have a shelf life on their absorbency and purchasing new, plush, spa-like towels will be a huge game-changer for you and your guests! We swear by these towels and love how massive and coxy they feel.
trim greens from your garden, or purchase long-lasting eucalyptus from your local florist. Adding this simple organic element to a nightstand or beside your sink vanity, adds an extra layer of warmth you and your guests will appreciate!
This simple bed & bath refresh has major impact and I highly recommend taking advantage of Serena & Lily’s Sleep Well Event tonight before the sale ends!
